Colleen and Richard worked together for over 20 years, first at another salon, then deciding to launch their own on April 1st of 1999. Richard's focus falls on precision cuts, colouring and phenomenal blowouts. Richard has been in the beauty business for over 25 years. Both share a passion for hair and making their clients dazzle. Colleen left the salon in April of 2025 to pursue other things.
In creating Scissorhands, we wanted to establish a no-frills salon--a space where we could focus, solely, on the most important aspect of our business--our clients. We wanted every person who walked through our doors, to feel like family, in the intimate space we crafted. Moreover, we wanted to exceed our client's expectations in the service they chose, and that's exactly what we've done.
